Using APC InfraStruXure Three Phase Whips and RM PDUs for Non-linear Loads -
Consulting Engineers and customers frequently express concern about the acceptability of three phase, 4-wire whips and rack-mount PDUs that are used to distribute InfraStruXure power in a nonlinear load environment. APC is frequently challenged to supply 200% rated neutral conductors. APC conducted extensive testing and demonstrated beyond any doubt that the whips and rack-mount PDUs can be safely used in the worst nonlinear load environment. This application note describes the test methods and provides the test results that support that conclusion.

Configuring Data Centers to Support HP BladeSystem p-Class Servers -
HP BladeSystem p-Class servers operate at a power density 10X higher than that of a typical data center, which demands special attention to the power and cooling system. Success in deploying these servers – there are five basic strategies – requires an understanding of several inputs, including the business needs driving the deployment, user preferences, blade requirements, and constraints. InfraStruXure RPP Modular Power Distribution Unit: Hot Aisle Containment Application Guidelines and In Row Baying Instructions -
The 300-mm Remote Power Panel (RPP) Modular Power Distribution Unit (MPDU) (Only PDPM277H 400V EMEA/APJ/GCN and PDPM144F 208V NAM) is the power source for Rack Mounted Distribution Units and IT loads. As illustrated in Figure 1, it houses the hot-pluggable power backplane, monitoring bus, controller, Web card and the support structure for the Power Distribution Modules. Specially designed offset brackets ship with the unit to allow joining to other InRow® products and racks in the row or in a Hot Aisle Containment System (HACS) configuration. HACS door frame configurations do not allow the 300-mm RPP to be located at the end of the aisle.
